Recovery mission in Sciacca, Sicily
In September 2021, TERRA Search enjoyed the opportunity to deploy to the field for its inaugural recovery mission in Sciacca, Sicily. The opportunity was in cooperation with Cranfield Recovery and Identification of Conflict Casualties (CRICC) Team, Cranfield University, UK.

The quest was a military aircrew recovery mission lost during Operation Husky, the Allied invasion of Sicily in 1944.
TERRA Search team members supported CRICC by bringing their global administrative, logistical, operational, and scientific experiences to the island of Sicily. The Sicilian deployment was a first for several team members and supported TERRA Search’s development of its operational expertise and field craft. The international private enterprise/U.S. Veteran partnership proved successful to both parties with more collaboration planned for the future.
